Introducing Vercel CI
Vercel CI Beta uses Turborepo task dependencies and caching to run only checks affected by a change. Agent-heavy repos may spend less time waiting on CI, but setup requires Turborepo.
Vercel CI Beta reads **turbo.json** to select affected tasks, reuses cached results, and runs remaining tasks on separate machines. Vercel reports push-to-pass times **2–6x faster** internally; the beta is available on all plans.
If agents open frequent PRs, consider whether task-aware CI would shorten feedback loops. Existing Turborepo repos can tag tasks for CI, and GitHub branch protection can continue to block merges on failed checks.

Existing Turborepo repos can tag tasks for CI, and GitHub branch protection can continue to block merges on failed checks. The speed claim is Vercel's own result, not a general benchmark. Vercel CI requires Turborepo, and the article says advanced observability and more granular test selection are still planned.
This offers a task-aware CI option for Turborepo projects that may shorten agent PR feedback loops, while its 2–6x speed claim is internal and the product remains limited to Turborepo. It adds a concrete infrastructure response to the review and verification bottlenecks raised by agent-heavy workflows, without establishing that CI speed alone improves trusted delivery.
